Howrah City Police’s intelligence department arrested two men accused of stealing cattle transported in a goods vehicle near Ramrajatala station. The police had been waiting for information from a confidential source and acted when the vehicle arrived at the location. Upon interception, police chased the suspects and initially detained both.
During the attempt to arrest, one suspect escaped by boarding the goods vehicle, while the other jumped into Pana Pond. Both are currently at large. Police teams from Jagacha police station and the intelligence department are conducting a search operation to locate and apprehend the fugitives.
The incident took place within the Ramrajatala station premises, causing a response from law enforcement agencies. Police continue to investigate the matter and have asked the public to report any suspicious activity that might help in recovering the suspects and preventing similar incidents.
